Ya, Mr Romney never expressed any sympathy toward ISIS in this interview. He expressed disgust at the "president" for pardoning a criminal who thought he could be the judge, jury, and executioner for someone who never got any kind of a trial. What if it was found that the person was not associated with ISIS?

Not many thoughts to have here. We have laws, and nobody is exempt from them. The president using his powers to protect a criminal from the consequences of the crime, at the very least, would warrant very special circumstances of the crime, and at most, violates the principle of separation of powers.
